On the 17th March 2009, the Construct-A-Slab alliance ran their first event titled ‘Middle East Industrial Flooring Conference' at the Marriott hotel in Dubai, UAE.

The conference offered the audience the opportunity to hear about the use of best practice and the latest thinking covering all elements of the delivery of high tolerance, high quality industrial floors.

Over 145 people attended the event where, during the breaks, they were given the opportunity to meet and discuss with a broad range of suppliers solutions for the construction of high tolerance, high quality industrial floors.

During the main event each speaker offered the audience a unique perspective and insight into the areas of design, construction and the use of materials. The conference finished with speakers from leading flooring contractors describing how the used of best practice techniques and methods has enabled them to deliver to their clients high specification industrial floor solutions to meet specific requirements.

At the end of each session the floor was opened to the audience for questions. Each presenter was asked to respond to questions from the floor on their area of expertise. Questions flooded in during each of these QA sessions and the audience were given the opportunity to discuss their specific questions on a one-to-one bases during the session breaks.

Feedback from everyone attending the event was very positive and each sponsors stand reported they were deluged with enquiries and interest on their products.

For the future, Construct-a-Slab have plans to repeat this event in other parts of the globe, spreading the word on best practice methods and how the latest thinking can make a difference - helping main and specialist flooring contractors alike deliver high tolerance, high quality industrial floors to meet the ever increasing demands from their local and global clients.
